How to get there?

Metro (station: Aalto-yliopisto, Aalto University)
From the city center you can come to the campus by metro. Aalto University metro station is 11 minutes from Railway station (city center Helsinki). There are two exits from the Aalto University metro station. You can use either one of them and follow the sings that will take you to the School of Business.

By bus and light rail
Otaniemi is easily accessible by bus and light rail line 15. The light rail runs every 6 minutes on weekdays during rush hours, stop at Aalto University metro station.

By city bikes
You can also rent a city bike. It takes around 30 minutes to cycle from city center to Otaniemi. For more information see https://www.hsl.fi/en/citybikes/helsinki

Public transportation tickets

Single tickets for the metro, train, tram, light rail, or bus can be purchased using contactless payment: simply select the correct zones and tap your debit or credit card on the reader. The ticket will be stored on your card, allowing you to board directly. Tickets can also be bought in advance from sales and service points or via the HSL mobile app.

• All conference venues, including the suggested hotels, are located within Zone AB. Airport connection requires Zone ABC ticket.

• The same ticket is valid for 80 minutes across buses, light rail, trams, trains, and the metro.

• Please note that tickets cannot be purchased from the driver.

• When using the HSL app, you must have a ticket on your phone before boarding a bus, tram or commuter train, or entering the Metro or ferry payment area.

Airport connection

To Otaniemi (Aalto University campus)

• Distance from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport: approximately 22 km

• For a convenient ride from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, the official taxi companies are FixuTaksi, Lähitaksi, Menevä, and Taksi Helsinki. The fare is usually around €55, and the trip takes about 30 minutes. For potentially more affordable options, you may also consider Uber or Bolt.

• Public transport from Helsinki airport to Otaniemi takes approximately one hour. Options include P train or bus line 600 to Helsinki Central Railway Station, then metro to Aalto University station. A Zone ABC ticker is required (current price €4.50).

To Helsinki City Centre

• Distance from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport: approximately 19 km

• For a convenient ride from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, the official taxi companies are FixuTaksi, Lähitaksi, Menevä, and Taksi Helsinki. The fare is usually around €55, and the trip takes about 30 minutes. For potentially more affordable options, you may also consider Uber or Bolt.

• A direct train journey to Helsinki Central Railway Station takes approximately 40 minutes on the P train. A Zone ABC ticket is required (current price €4.50).
